I went to lunch with my cousin the other day, and the place I wanted to go had closed down, so we went looking for something else. Baja Fresh was in the neighborhood, so we decided that would work.

We both decided on the Carnitas Baja Bowl, basically the contents of their Carnitas Burrito without the tortilla. It was good, but really rather bland. The carnitas itself was perfect, well seasoned and juicy if a bit over cooked. However there was no spice to the dish at all, even after adding a fair amount of Tapatio hot sauce. My cousin was happy with his, but I needed something more.

If there had been better seasoning and flavor this could have been Fat Boy Heaven, but alas, twas not to be.
