My Slow Cooker secured in the Crock-it Lock-it I received yesterday

I stumbled across this KickStarter project the other day, and loved the idea.  We have all had family events or potlucks that required us to bring our crock-pots, and if you are anything like me it was a challenge to get it there without a nasty spill.

The folks at Crock-it Lock-it sent me a review unit yesterday, and I was able to test it this morning.

The packaging is well thought out, securely holding the product in place

Easy to follow instructions are printed on the underside of the packaging, making it very easy to put this great product to use.

The strap is clearly marked with common crock-pot sizes, making proper positioning for your crock easy

Positioning the crock-pot over the straps couldn't be any easier.  As you can see, my crock pot from Hamilton-Beach is fairly unique, with the heater not even reaching half-way up the side of the crock.

Even with the unique design of my crock pot, attaching the Crock-it Lock-it and securing it was simple and easy.  Straps are clearly marked with basic directions in case you misplace the original packaging.

Some times little details make a big difference.  In this case, the velcro strap that holds the Crock-it Lock-it's straps together when not in use serves double duty to securely wrap the cord for your crock in place for easy transport.

The Crock-it Lock-it also includes a ladle that snaps into place, making it easy to bring a serving utensil with your crock.

The Crock-it Lock-it is a fairly simple yet well thought out solution to the problem, and they are in need of help to get their product to market.  They have just 14 days left in their KickStarter campaign, and are only 20% of the way there.  Backing the project is essentially a pre-order, and I can now verify the product has been made and works as advertised.   Please consider helping to bring this innovative product to market.  Below is the project video with more details regarding methods and design.
